Job Summary
Conduct patient exams using ultrasound waves to identify anatomical structures, pathology, and artifacts while ensuring high-quality image capture. Set up and adjust equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform safety procedures. Implement safety protocols, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold departmental cleanliness. Perform routine and complex imaging studies, manage PACS submissions, and ensure patient data accuracy. Requires ARRT or ARDMS certification within 12 months, BLS within 30 days, and an associate's degree or equivalent experience. Rotating shift PRN schedule at Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience
- Associate's degree
- Technical certificate/degree
