Provide ultrasound imaging services to patients in accordance with physicians orders. Prepare ultrasound rooms and diagnostic equipment, performing high-quality testing and developing films per safety standards. Position patients to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, evaluate images for technical quality, and provide patient education on procedures. Input patient information accurately into the departmental computer system, check patients in for appropriate procedures, and verify orders before performing tests. Maintain strict confidentiality, ensure radiation safety, and complete quality assurance activities. Rotate shifts and assignments as required, including surgery and portables for Specialty and Hospital staff, and take stand-by call as assigned.
