Job Summary
Provide ultrasound imaging services to patients in accordance with physician orders, preparing rooms and diagnostic equipment while developing films per safety standards. Perform high-quality testing, position patients to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, and evaluate images for technical quality. Ensure accurate patient information input into the departmental computer system and complete all required documentation prior to procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality, verify patient identification, and address allergy status or contrast reactions as needed. Adhere to radiation safety rules, infection control policies, and OSHA procedures while rotating shifts and assignments as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic Life Support
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Customer service and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety, safety precautions and infection control practices
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of ultrasound experience
