Job Summary
Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and post-procedure scans. Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures. Medical intakes. Enter medical notes in our EMR system. Use sterile technique for procedure setup and prep patients for procedures. Assist during procedures. Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA. Properly care for Ultrasound equipment and notify the office if there are any issues. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Medical Sonography
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Sonographer
- Certification: Certified Medical Sonographer
- RVT or RVS preferred
- EMR systems experience
