Job Summary
Conduct ultrasound imaging using fixed and portable equipment while applying proper machine settings and transducer selections. Perform patient positioning for high-quality images across infants, children, adults, and geriatric populations under general supervision. Maintain safety by ensuring appropriate procedures, following hand hygiene, and tolerating physical demands including standing, bending, and lifting. Accept irregular hours and overtime as needed. Requires ARDMS registration and ability to operate mobile units.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- Ability to use a wide range of ultrasonography equipment, including mobile units
- Ability to learn new procedures and to operate new equipment
- Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with physicians, patients, and coworkers
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Basic knowledge of radiation safety
- Demonstrates understanding of the usage of equipment
- Demonstrates proper patient identification
- Demonstrates consistent hand hygiene practices
Desired Qualifications
- Multiple ARDMS credentials preferred
