Job Summary
Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams and operates ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation. Sets up and adjusts equipment, maneuvers transducers, adheres to safety standards, conducts quality control, and ensures proper labeling and documentation of images in PACS. Maintains a clean, organized department and complies with regulatory requirements. Works in the Vascular Lab, typically Day Shift, with PRN/as-needed scheduling. Requires completion of a sonography program and appropriate professional registration/certification (RDMS or equivalent) in specified specialties. - Imaging responsibilities include recognizing anatomical structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations; reports problems, and collaborates with staff to ensure timely submission of images and patient data.
Required Qualifications
- State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN (OB/GYN) Specialty - ARDMS
- Or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARDMS
