Sonographer

As a Sonographer at Rochester General Hospital, perform or assist with abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound exams to acquire high-quality images, review patient history and orders, provide preliminary reports, and support radiologists or neurologists. Duties include maintaining imaging standards, assisting in invasive procedures under sonographic guidance, preparing rooms, participating in meetings and continuing education to maintain registry, and acting as a preceptor for ultrasound students. Neurology-specific responsibilities include preparing for RVT certification, and the Radiology Lead role covers scheduling, training, and day-to-day operations. Maintain patient care quality and compassionate service in a hospital imaging environment; adhere to IAC AC standards where applicable; comply with credentialing, licensure, and physical requirements. The role emphasizes image quality, workflow efficiency, documentation, and collaboration with physicians across departments.
