Job Summary
Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams to obtain high-quality images for interpretation, operating ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining equipment and room readiness. Requires two or more registries appropriate for the department (e.g., ABD/OB, ABD/MSK, ABD/BR, OB/GYN) and registration as a sonographer. Responsibilities include setting up and adjusting equipment, selecting transducers, performing routine and complex studies, recognizing structures and artifacts, ensuring image quality and proper labeling, submitting images to PACS, maintaining a clean department, and complying with regulatory standards. Certifications/licensure include ARDMS/CCI registries in relevant areas; BLS HCP is listed as a requirement. Shift type is PRN/Per Diem with available night and weekend shifts; relocation support is available for qualified candidates.
