Job Summary
Performs a full range of diagnostic ultrasound imaging and related patient care in the Radiology Department. Plans and performs imaging procedures to produce sonographic images for diagnosis or treatment, reviews physician requests, maintains confidentiality of Protected Health Information, educates patients about procedures, and promotes teamwork across Radiology services. Responsibilities include engaging in problem solving and system improvements, functioning as a clinical instructor for sonography education programs, evaluating student performance, maintaining professional development, and adhering to ethics and department policies. Must follow department standards, policies, and Joint Commission guidelines, and report equipment failures. Physical requirements include standing/walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and ability to move ultrasound equipment for portable exams. Must be able to communicate in English and work with a team. The position is a part-time role with duties performed in a clinical hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Medical Imaging program
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
