Job Summary
The Sonographer provides limited obstetrical ultrasound imaging (including Doppler assessment of fetal heart rate) under direction of the Medical Director to support Human Coalition’s mission. Responsibilities include communicating ultrasound findings per Health Care Center policies, safeguarding patient confidentiality, coordinating supplies and equipment maintenance, participating in quality assurance and staff training, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA and infection-control procedures. The role requires completing a 2-week Health Care Center introductory training, on-the-job training prior to independent practice, and active participation in monthly meetings and evaluations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong client communication skills are essential; RDMS certification is preferred and CPR certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- (2) years of clinical sonography experience with an obstetrical/gynecological emphasis preferred
- Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound
- Preferred - RDMS registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible and become registered within 90 days from date of hire
- Must be CPR certified as a healthcare provider
