Sonographer- Part Time/PRN

Job Summary
Performs pelvic and obstetrical ultrasound procedures, including sonohysterograms and IUD insertions, and prepares reports and billing. Reviews schedules, gathers patient information, opens communication between ultrasound equipment and Athena, explains procedures to patients, acquires images and Doppler samples, creates reports in Trice, presents findings to physicians, and maintains equipment and supplies. Requires OB/GYN certification, Diagnostic Medical Sonography credentialing, CPR/BLS certification, and ongoing CME compliance; duties include QA, training of new sonographers, HIPAA/OSHA trainings, and patient-team communications. This is a Wednesday/Friday position with PRN availability and potential move to full time within a year; strong organizational, time management, leadership, and computer skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification from accredited school
- MUST have OB/GYN certification
- Maintain CPR/BLS certification, including annual courses
- Maintain a minimum of 10 ultrasound CMEs per year
