Job Summary
Operate ultrasound imaging equipment and software to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment while ensuring safety and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. Perform duties requiring proficiency in machine operation, emergency procedures, and radiation safety protocols. Execute tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, and physical exertion to lift up to 50 lbs, including bending, kneeling, and squatting as needed. Maintain strict attention to detail when following complex protocols and adjust settings based on clinical requirements. Provide optimal care through strong communication with patients and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Requires one year of relevant experience, state licensure, and ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification within 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography
- Completed required clinical hours
- One (1) year of relevant experience
- State licensure
- ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification
- Two applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed
- Knowledge of safe & proper machine operation
- Knowledge of machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- ARDMS-RVT OR CCI-RVS OR ARRT-VS certification within 12 months of hire and/or transfer depending on scope of role
