Job Summary
Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations according to ordering physician's requisition while collaborating with the physician and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings. Explain procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner to ensure their understanding and uphold safety, privacy, and infection control standards. Complete continuing education to stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques. This per diem position is located in Newton, Massachusetts (Chestnut Hill) for an experienced OB/GYN Sonographer with an RDMS credential. Required Qualifications
- RDMS in OB/GYN
- Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience post-RDMS
- 2 years of OB/GYN experience
- GE Voluson experience
- Experience working with Viewpoint reporting software
- Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and physicians
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently
