Job Summary
Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations according to ordering physician's requisition, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings. Explain procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner while upholding safety, privacy, and infection control standards. Complete continuing education to stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques. This Per Diem position requires 8+ hours weekly in Silver Springs, Maryland for an experienced OB/GYN Sonographer with an RDMS credential.
Required Qualifications
- RDMS in OB/GYN
- Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience post-RDMS
- 2 years of OB/GYN experience
- GE Voluson experience
- Experience working with Viewpoint reporting software
- Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and physicians
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently
