Job Summary
Collaborate with radiologists and specialists to obtain high-quality ultrasound images and provide exceptional patient care. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures while interpreting information to identify each patient's specific requirements for care relative to their age. Complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Maintain proficiency with various ultrasound equipment and adapt to new situations according to patient needs. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- ARDMS or ARRT registry
- ARDMS or ARRT RT(S) or ARDMS certified or Board eligible
- ARDMS certified within first year of employment
- One year experience in Sonography
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
- Good communication skills
- Ability to function alone in diagnostic rooms
- Working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment
- Ability to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served
- Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
- Basic computer skills
