Job Summary
Conduct clinical assessments and perform diagnostic ultrasound exams within the OB/GYN division, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging. Review patient histories, evaluate images, and prepare preliminary findings for physicians while communicating clearly to explain procedures and ensure comfort. Use proper positioning and ergonomic scanning techniques, document exam limitations, and maintain accurate records. Prepare exam rooms and equipment for daily use, report equipment issues, and support system-wide integration initiatives. Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and organizational policies, maintaining required certifications and participating in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Current ARDMS certification
- NH Board of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy licensure
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledgeable about sonographic equipment
- Ability to communicate results to physicians
- Ability to support patients with compassion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, even in emergent situations
- Detail-oriented
- Focused
- Comfortable managing multiple distractions while delivering excellent patient care
- Ability to maintain required certifications
- Ability to participate in ongoing professional development
