Job Summary
Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets, and acquire anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation. Assist with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling while generating clear, comprehensive preliminary reports. Accurately document exam findings, measurements, and procedural details in reporting systems and escort patients to examination rooms. Maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with accreditation and safety standards. Rotate to other locations as needed to cover absences.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of one of the following; graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent, at least two (2) years in Allied Health Educational Program and one (1) year on-the-job- training in ultrasonography, or graduate from an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent
- Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo (FE) certified or eligible to obtain within 12 months of hire
- Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements
- Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician working in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred
- Experience Industry: Maternal Fetal Medicine Healthcare
Desired Qualifications
- NT experience or certification preferred
- CPR certification preferred
