Job Summary
Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, including first, second, and third trimester detailed fetal anatomy scans, nuchal translucency measurements, fetal echocardiography, and Doppler evaluations. Conduct specialized MFM studies such as biophysical profiles, cervical length assessments, and growth scans. Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures, including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and fetal blood sampling. Accurately capture, analyze, and document sonographic findings in accordance with MFM protocols while recognizing and reporting abnormal findings to interpreting physicians. Maintain detailed electronic medical records and ensure patient safety through compassionate support and equipment quality assurance checks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care for high-risk pregnancies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
