Job Summary
Competently perform routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Work independently to execute challenging diagnostic procedures while gaining patient cooperation through effective communication and attentive monitoring. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also perform specific procedures and orient other staff to the department. This per diem role at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center requires two years of recent relevant experience and ARDMS certification upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program OR possession of ARDMS evidencing completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- Must possess two of the following: AB-Abdomen certification, BR-Breast certification, FE-Fetal Echocardiography certification, OB/GYN-Obstetrics & Gynecology, PS-Pediatric Sonography, RVT-Registered Vascular Technician
- 2 years of recent relevant experience as a Sonographer
- Must be available for Rotating Weekends
