Sonographer II

Conduct detailed sonographic imaging of blood, organs, tissues, and fetal masses to support diagnosis and prenatal care. Directly interact with patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans while monitoring safety and comfort. Meticulously operate equipment, adjust settings and positions for clear images, and select or examine images for pathologies to present preliminary findings to physicians. Perform all routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, assign patient charges, and clearly mark radiographs and CR images with correct identifiers. Transport patients safely and demonstrate safe use of restraints. Requires one year as a sonographer or radiologic technologist, BLS certification, and a registered diagnostic sonographer credential.
