Job Summary
Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform ultrasound procedures on various anatomical internal organs, vessels, fluid accumulations, masses, and developing fetuses. Report preliminary findings, measurements, and diagnoses to Radiologist or Cardiologist. Record scanned ultrasound images and transfer to imaging system for interpretation after checking for quality.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Currently credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by ARDMS OR currently registered as a Registered Technologist with Sonography Designation (R.T.(S)(ARRT)) by ARRT OR currently credentialed as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI OR applicable registration within one year for new graduates required
