Job Summary

Perform accurate and efficient clinical diagnostic ultrasound procedures as directed by providers and radiologists. Initiate proper interventions when tests indicate immediate attention and review indications for ordered tests, reporting inappropriate ones to leadership. Provide complete test data for radiologist interpretation, make hard copy images as directed, and maintain department policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols. Assist with staff/student training, record analysis, and medical records reconciliation through daily quality control. Work day shifts on a rotating schedule with call times once weekly and every fourth or fifth weekend.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or equivalent registration Upon Hire
  • Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) New Graduates must have initial registry within 1 year of hire within 1 Year
  • visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • ability to communicate effectively with others
  • hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
