Job Summary
Sommelier leading the wine experience at Villa Valentina in Stockholm, responsible for delivering expert wine service and elevated beverage experiences to a high-volume dining setting. You will guide guests through wine selections and pairings, train and develop the front-of-house team in wine knowledge and service standards, collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure a seamless guest experience, manage wine inventory and storage standards, and contribute to beverage sales targets while delivering personalized hospitality. The role emphasizes guest engagement, storytelling around wine, and maintaining hospitality excellence in a large-scale, high-exposure venue opening in May 2026.
Required Qualifications
- strong background in high-volume, quality-driven dining environments
- genuine love for wine and excellent guest engagement skills
- ability to create memorable wine experiences through recommendations and storytelling
- lead wine service on the floor and provide expert recommendations
- train and develop FOH team in wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen, bar, and management to ensure seamless guest experiences
- monitor and manage wine inventory and storage standards
- build guest relationships through personalized service and attention to detail
- contribute to beverage sales targets through knowledgeable recommendations
