Job Summary

Sommelier at Restaurant Bougainville: responsible for the preparation and presentation of the wine selection, advising guests on wines and wine-pairings at the highest level, serving and explaining wines to match dishes, and actively enhancing guest satisfaction. The role includes maintaining accurate wine service procedures, driving continuous improvement based on guest feedback, and contributing to an exceptional wine-and-dine experience. The position emphasizes training and development with opportunities to grow, a structured hospitality environment, and working within a Michelin-starred setting under experienced leadership. Requirements include hospitality/hotel management education, a wine qualification (WSET/SDEN or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one, excellent wine knowledge, guest-focused communication, and fluency in Dutch and/or English. Offered benefits include a monthly salary in the €2,645.47–€3,289.31 range (based on 38 hours), potential contract, staff facilities, career growth, limited overtime, 8% vacation allowance, pension, travel reimbursement outside Amsterdam, daily meals, and 25 vacation days for a full-time 38-hour contract.
