Job Summary
Impeccably polished Sommelier sought to lead beverage service on the dining room floor of a luxury Chinese concept. Guide high-profile guests and travelers through curated wine and sake pairings, supervise cellar operations, and drive beverage revenue through upselling and guest engagement. Responsibilities include expert wine and sake knowledge, staff education, inventory management, and ensuring pristine service and accuracy of wine/sake lists in a luxury, high-volume environment. Requires deep international wine region knowledge, strong tableside presence, and credentials such as CMS or WSET Level 3 (certifications preferred); must be 21+ with applicable gaming/health/alcohol clearances. Competitive hourly base rate with tips, uncapped commission, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years experience as a Sommelier in a luxury, fine-dining, or high-volume resort environment (Las Vegas Strip experience preferred)
- Certified Sommelier (CMS) or WSET Level 3 preferred
- Specialized certifications in Sake (e.g., Certified Sake Sommelier, Kikisakeshi, or WSET Level 3 in Sake) advantageous
- Must be 21+ and able to obtain gaming, health, and alcohol-awareness clearances (e.g., TAM card, health card)
