Job Summary
Solutions Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated workflows and custom applications using Power Automate, Power Apps, Jira, and SharePoint Online. Lead integration efforts across platforms via REST APIs, using Python, JavaScript, and Groovy scripting to extend automation beyond out-of-the-box capabilities. Serve as technical lead for Jira-SharePoint integration, collaborate with stakeholders to map current processes and design optimized automated workflows, and create comprehensive technical documentation. Provide tier-3 support for deployed automations, troubleshoot API connections, and ensure solutions adhere to security and compliance policies. Stay current with Atlassian and Microsoft Power Platform best practices to continuously improve solutions. Must possess active Secret clearance with eligibility for upgrade to Top Secret and hold DoD 8570 IAT Level II and DoD 8140 CSSP Auditor certifications; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. The role emphasizes automation design, system integration, and data-driven decision support within a government-contractor environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret upgrade
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- DoD 8140 CSSP Auditor certification
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Experience integrating Jira and SharePoint Online
- REST API experience
- Python, JavaScript, Groovy scripting
- Data formats JSON/XML
- OAuth/API Keys/Service Principals knowledge
- SharePoint Online architecture (lists, libraries, permissions, content types)
- JSON/XML data handling
- Authentication concepts across APIs
- SAFe/Kanban/Agile
- Git familiarity
- SQL/NoSQL basics
- Strong documentation
- Ability to translate requirements into automated solutions
- Power Automate complex flows and Power Apps forms
- Jira automation and ScriptRunner (preferred)
- Microsoft Graph API (preferred)
- Security/compliance alignment

- Strong problem-solving and requirements gathering skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into automated solutions
- Experience building complex Power Automate flows and custom forms in Power Apps
- Experience with Jira automation and ScriptRunner (preferred)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API (preferred)
- Strong documentation skills
