Job Summary
Senior Solutions Engineer for the SEC ISS contract responsible for translating enterprise requirements into secure, scalable technology solutions. Leads solution engineering activities across architecture and engineering design, PoC execution, pilots, and demonstrations; produces quantitative analyses of alternatives and clear recommendation packages for SEC stakeholders; documents outcomes, risks, and implementation considerations for enterprise infrastructure modernization; develops architectures and engineering design approaches aligned with SEC objectives; maintains traceability from requirements through evaluation, recommendation, and next steps; engages with stakeholders, prepares technical documentation, and supports continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering)
- 8+ years of related experience providing business solutions engineering support in enterprise IT environments
- Experience in architectural design, engineering design, proof-of-concept development, pilot execution, analysis, results, and documentation
- Experience mapping functional requirements to technical requirements and producing formal recommendation artifacts
- Citizenship/Work Authorization: Must meet contract requirements
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher if required)
- Technical Skills: Enterprise solution architecture and engineering design; Functional-to-technical requirements mapping and traceability; PoC, pilot, and demo planning/execution; Quantitative analysis of alternatives and tradeoff evaluation; Technical writing, research documentation, and recommendation reporting
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience supporting federal IT programs and infrastructure modernization initiatives; Experience applying zero-trust and federal security/compliance considerations (e.g., FISMA/FedRAMP) in solution evaluations; Experience developing data-driven dashboards, metrics, or performance reporting to support technology decisions; Experience evaluating cloud and hybrid enterprise technologies (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365, endpoint/operations platforms); Experience briefing technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitating governance-board decision cycles; TOGAF; Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; ITIL 4 Foundation
