Solutions Engineer II

Job Summary
Create software solutions for Economics and Planning applications by working with internal customers. Coordinate projects and timelines, plan testing and deployment, and generate ideas for new projects. Develop specs for new or existing products while collaborating with Software Engineers and Solutions Analysts. Build prototypes to solve business problems and manage vendor, division, and IT team interactions. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, plus three years of related experience. Understanding of petroleum operations in Exploration and Production is preferred. Travel to division offices is required 20-50% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years related experience
- Must have excellent communication, presentation, coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects that involve dealing with vendors, division personnel and IT Team
- Travel to division offices as needed (20-50%)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred
- Understanding of petroleum operations in an Exploration and Production environment preferred
