Solutions Engineer – Fintech Sponsor Bank

Job Summary
The Solutions Engineer will serve as the technical expert supporting fintech partners throughout the solution lifecycle from design and onboarding to implementation and optimization. Responsibilities include translating partner business models into compliant technical solutions, leading technical discovery sessions, and providing hands-on onboarding support. The role requires collaboration with product, compliance, and tech teams to design regulatory-aligned solutions and manage ongoing partner relationships. Candidates should have extensive experience with regulatory compliance in fintech, plus strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience, including time at a sponsor bank or BaaS provider, plus experience navigating regulatory requirements and leading complex, multi-stakeholder implementations.
- Relevant experience in fintech, banking‐as‐a‐service, payments, or financial infrastructure platforms.
- Technical implementation, solutions engineering, or integration engineering in financial services.
- Payment systems, core banking platforms, or financial technology products.
- Strong understanding of funds flows, APIs, data structures, and system integrations.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple systems and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with compliance‐driven domains such as KYC/KYB, AML, card issuing, or payments operations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non‐technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working at a sponsor bank, BaaS provider, or fintech infrastructure platform.
- Knowledge of core banking systems, ledgering, and payment rails (ACH, RTP, card networks, wires).
- Background in solution architecture, technical consulting, or implementation engineering.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and operate in a fast‐moving regulatory environment.
