Job Summary
As a Solutions Architect at Vercel, you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, focusing on both pre-sales and post-sales engagements. Responsibilities include technical discovery, designing architectures for AI and web applications on Vercel, delivering presentations, and managing proofs of concept. Candidates should have hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, modern web frameworks like Next.js, and a strong understanding of web performance and cloud platform integration. Ideal applicants will demonstrate effective communication skills, project management capabilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in a customer‐facing technical role (solutions architect, sales engineer, platform architect, Agency Software Engineer)
- Strong hands‐on skills with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks, ideally including Next.js
- Understanding of web performance, caching, networking, and security fundamentals
- Ability to discuss business outcomes with executives and implementation details with developers
- Track record of owning complex technical projects
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with modern web or cloud platforms
- Building AI powered applications or Agentic workloads
- Deploying and operating Next.js or other modern frontend frameworks on Vercel or similar platforms
- Led large-scale migrations to cloud-native platforms
- Cloud or architecture certifications
- Familiar with security and privacy standards such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, or HIPAA
