Job Summary
Solution Architect to shape the APAC architecture for Tes’ EdTech SaaS platform from the Melbourne hub. Lead architectural standards, design secure and scalable solutions, and drive Tes’ transformation with collaboration across Product, Engineering, Transformation, and senior stakeholders. Role emphasizes architectural leadership, governance, documentation, and alignment with global standards; requires hands-on experience with microservices, APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); strong communication and workshop facilitation skills; located in Melbourne, Australia (in-person).
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role
- Strong background in software design and architecture patterns
- Experience delivering architecture in large-scale, fast-moving environments
- Ability to design secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions
- Experience producing both high-level and low-level designs
- Hands-on experience with microservices, APIs, and integration patterns
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design principles
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture and integration approaches
- Understanding of business processes and integration architecture
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
- Working knowledge of at least one coding language: C#, React, or Java
- Strong leadership and decision-making capability
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly
- Skilled in facilitating workshops and architectural discussions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organised with strong documentation skills
- Ability to anticipate issues and propose effective solutions
- Innovative mindset with a focus on improving technology and delivery
