Job Summary
Design secure, scalable private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions leveraging Lightedge's VMware-based private cloud, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure to meet customer business and technical requirements. Serve as a lead technical architect for complex engagements by partnering with Account Executives to develop solution strategies and leading discovery sessions, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities. Develop migration strategies that align workloads with target platforms while creating architecture diagrams, reusable reference architectures, and documentation to support consistent delivery. Mentor Solutions Architects, contribute to architectural standards, and continuously evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen the cloud portfolio. This role requires AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification and 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification, successfully obtained within 90 days of hire
- Strong knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure services
- Strong knowledge of architecture best practices
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native design principles
- Experience with VMware virtualization
- Experience with infrastructure modernization
- Experience with cloud migration planning
- Working knowledge of enterprise compute
- Working knowledge of storage
- Working knowledge of networking
- Working knowledge of backup and recovery
- Working knowledge of disaster recovery
- Working knowledge of virtualization
- Working knowledge of current infrastructure technologies from leading vendors such as Dell Technologies, VMware, Pure Storage, Veeam, AWS, and Microsoft Azure
- Experience supporting enterprise sales opportunities
- Experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and executive stakeholders
