Job Summary

Design a robust cloud foundation by analyzing technical requirements for agency applications and services to support scalability, security, and compliance. Collaborate with Cloud Engineers and security professionals to define infrastructure, networking architectures, and deployment strategies aligned with federal standards. Lead global architectures and integrations while establishing organization-wide standards for large-scale initiatives. Advise executives on strategy and vision, representing the organization in industry forums and shaping long-term technology direction. Manage worldwide environments with full autonomy to ensure resilient, cost-effective cloud operations supporting current operations and future growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA
  • Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA
  • Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Active Secret (TS/SCI) clearance
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
  • CISSP certification
  • Proficiency in cloud architecture design, including networking, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and tools such as containerization, Kubernetes, and serverless computing
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure including virtualization, storage, networking, and load balancing
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices including encryption, micro segmentation, and least privilege
  • Familiarity with cloud management and Infrastructure/Configuration as code tools like Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
  • Awareness of Microservice and Service Oriented Architecture patterns
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Experience with cloud observability toolsets
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git) and their integration into CI tools (Gitlab CI)
  • Basic understanding of Linux administration and programming (Java, Python, C#)
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions (Azure Entra ID, AWS IAM, Keycloak)

Desired Qualifications

  • A degree in one of the following fields of study: Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Data Science
  • Active Certifications (must upload copies of both certifications along with the resume submittal): AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert CISSP
  • Preferably Azure
  • Additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • TS/SCI preferred
