Job Summary
Solutions Architect role focused on translating customer IT needs and future goals into complex, scalable enterprise solutions. Lead and mentor developers, shape digital solutions strategy for DoD modernization (cloud migration, integrating advanced technologies, and modernization of legacy systems), and drive secure, service-based software delivery across AWS/Azure/GCP environments. Emphasizes leadership, architecture tradeoffs, agile delivery, and collaboration with software teams to enable enterprise production capabilities. Note: requires Top Secret clearance and aligns with Booz Allen’s spend and benefit framework.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience designing large-scale enterprise solutions, integrating disparate technologies, and implementing security controls
- 5+ years of experience working with cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with generating solutions for AI-enabled software development
- Experience implementing solutions using modern system architecture principles, including microservices
- Experience modernizing enterprise software delivery in support of digital transformation
- Experience managing technical delivery, including modernization efforts in forward-leaning in the DoD, federal government, or commercial entities
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working closely with software development teams
- Experience with project, task, and team leadership
- Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods
- Experience evaluating architectural tradeoffs and designing robust service-based software applications for scalable enterprise production use
- Experience with full-stack development in a professional environment for enterprise production capabilities
- Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent listening skills
- Master’s degree
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Certification, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Certification
