Job Summary
Design and develop technical solutions for clients while educating technologists and executives on desired business outcomes. Build trusted-advisor status with client teams and collaborate with internal Expedient groups to create new solution offerings. Attend in-person and remote client meetings, marketing events, and trade shows to maintain deep industry perspective. Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for sales teams and clients regarding Expedient's technology and financial benefits. This role requires strong communication skills and expertise in VMware virtualization, vCloud Director, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. The position offers a hybrid work model with an annual salary of $130,000 to $150,000 plus variable compensation. Expedient prioritizes continuous innovation through comprehensive training and tuition reimbursement programs.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with VMware virtualization with a focus on administration and design
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture and/or sales engineering
- Experience and certifications such as VCP, VCAP, VCIX, VCDX, AWS Solutions Architect, etc. OR a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- Understanding of switching, routing, firewalling, and load balancing
- Knowledge of storage technologies including concepts such as RAID and Erasure Coding
- Understanding of network security concepts
- Familiarity with backup strategies and related backup technology
- Experience with disaster recovery technologies and disaster recovery testing and planning
- An understanding of database technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with vCloud Director, NSX, and vSAN a plus
- Familiarity or experience with hyperscale platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity or experience with any of the following technologies – Windows, Linux, Palo Alto, Nutanix, Zerto, VMware Horizon, Citrix, Cohesity, and Commvault
- Familiarity with Cloud Native technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic)
