Job Summary
Own and govern the Snowflake platform, ensuring stability, scalability, and alignment with business requirements. Define and drive the platform roadmap, including new functionality and continuous improvements. Ensure consistent, efficient, and cost-conscious use of the platform across domains while monitoring usage and optimizing costs in line with FinOps principles. Define and implement standards, architectural principles, and best practices together with architects and platform stakeholders. Coordinate platform development activities with business stakeholders, data owners, project teams, and vendors. Support and guide projects utilizing the platform, facilitate onboarding, and ensure successful adoption across the organization. Ensure strong governance related to data quality, security, and compliance. Collaborate with Snowflake and other external partners to evaluate opportunities and leverage new capabilities. Enable increased data consumption, analytics capabilities, self-service solutions, and AI use cases.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within Data & Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Data Warehousing, or related fields
- A good understanding of modern data platform architectures and cloud-based technologies
- Experience collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to drive initiatives from idea to implementation
- Higher education within IT, Data, Engineering, or a related discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouse platforms
- Knowledge of SQL, data modelling, data integration, or cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Understanding of AI and machine learning use cases
