Job Summary
Solution Engineer Principal responsible for delivering high-quality SOA-based application integration solutions using mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, JCL). Design, develop, install, and lead testing and certification of software; develop solutions with Oracle Billing, Oracle Service Bus, and Coherence Cache; provide technical guidance to junior team members. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 7 years of experience in mainframe development with 5 years in designing and delivering SOA-based integration solutions in Agile environments, including integration between legacy and cloud/distributed applications; experience with Oracle CRM, Oracle Service Bus, Coherence Cache, and Oracle SOA Suite 12c; strong emphasis on design patterns, cryptography for data protection, and automating customer billing systems (meter processing and billing determinants). This role is onsite at Columbus, OH with a salary range of $126,478–$158,383 annually and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 7 years of experience in software development using mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, and JCL
- 5 years designing and delivering SOA-based application integration solutions in Agile environments
- experience with Oracle CRM, Oracle Service Bus and Coherence Cache
- experience with Oracle SOA Suite 12c
- experience working on complex integration projects including legacy and cloud/distributed applications
- experience automating customer billing systems, including meter processing and billing determinants/calc processes
- cryptography while handling customer data
- experience with Customer/1 platform
