Job Summary
Solution Engineer I - Government Finance guides public-sector organizations through evaluating OpenGov’s ERP solutions. Leverage accounting expertise to assess client needs, demonstrate configuration options for budgeting, general ledger, reporting, and procurement, and support GASB compliance and financial transparency initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth discovery with finance teams, translating workflows into future-state configurations, delivering tailored demonstrations for public-sector operations, and contributing to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs. Strong background in accounting/public finance and experience with cloud-based ERP are required; travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience with financial or ERP systems
- Strong understanding of government finance operations, fund accounting, GASB principles, budgeting, procurement, payroll, and financial audits
- Ability to travel up to 25%
