Job Summary
Solution Engineer role focusing on pre-sales technical leadership throughout the sales cycle. Acts as the technical lead to support new business and growth opportunities, builds and configures demo and proof-of-concept environments, contributes to RFI/RFP responses, and translates technical capabilities into clear business value for customers. Partners with Sales and manages relationships with key stakeholders, supports partner and marketing activities, provides feedback to product/technical teams, drives technical deals to close, represents AvePoint at industry events and community forums, and develops thought leadership within the Microsoft ecosystem and broader technology community. Requires a degree or equivalent experience, strong presentation/communication skills, English fluency, and hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online), Azure and identity management, networking basics, data protection and governance concepts, and cloud/hybrid architectures.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Fluent in English (additional European languages advantageous)
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value
- Commercial mindset with an interest in sales and customer outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-changing environment
- Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies (including SharePoint Online)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and identity technologies (Entra ID)
- Understanding of identity, access and permissions management
- Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, DHCP)
- Knowledge of data protection, backup, migration, and governance concepts
- Understanding of SharePoint architecture and cloud/hybrid environments
- Broader awareness of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) beneficial
