Job Summary
Lead supply chain and transportation solutions for clients by designing models to solve complex optimization problems and providing analytical support for carrier sourcing. Execute demonstrations, implementation, and hands-on configuration testing while acting as a subject matter expert for network design and shipment route optimization. Develop cost savings initiatives, quantify value propositions through rigorous data analysis, and establish standard approaches for responding to requests for proposals. Research root causes of issues, monitor industry trends, and collaborate with stakeholders to integrate solution improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other technical and/or analytical field
- 2 years of experience in key functional areas: supply chain management, logistics, decision support systems/technology, transportation management, distribution, or procurement functional responsibilities
- Advanced Excel proficiency and basic SQL or equivalent data querying capabilities
- Experience in data mining and generating simulations to identify and scope opportunities within the customer's supply chain
- Experience with various data modeling and network optimization platforms
- Experience in multiple logistics-related systems and transportation management systems
- Experience collecting and analyzing data for modeling, network optimization and/or transportation redesign purposes
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations
- Strong project management skills
