Job Summary
Solution Development Manager responsible for understanding customer needs and developing optimized gas solutions using the Lurgi portfolio (SMR, ATR, POX, etc.); lead proposal preparation with technical deliverables (technical specification, scope of work) and coordinate cross-functional teams to define Basis of Design and achieve a competitive solution; manage development activities, site visits, stakeholder meetings, and technical clarifications with customers and internal teams; drive design basis with clients and align with Product Lines, Technical and Proposal teams; interact with suppliers and participate in contract discussions; support and potentially lead the technical components across projects while ensuring safety standards and compliance; travel domestically and internationally up to 10% as needed; leadership responsibilities include managing one direct report if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent in Engineering field
- Experience in the process design (HyCO plants or similar)
- General knowledge of project development and execution
- General knowledge of industrial gas plants and market
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and coordination skills
- Ability to interact effectively with other entities / disciplines / departments
- Ability to travel both domestic & international for internal/ external meetings (10% time maximum)
- Preferred: Aspen Plus simulation software
- Strong organizational and people management skills
- Ability to interact effectively with customers
- Notions of German or French language is an asset
