Job Summary
Provide engineering support for proposals, renewals, and re-engineering activities to support business growth and retention objectives. Design distribution center operations by conducting data analysis, creating concept of operations, developing design layouts, and building engineering models. Collaborate with Business Development and Program Managers to schedule and submit proposals on a timely basis while incorporating green initiatives and community support where appropriate. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, minimum two years of logistics experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and process mapping tools. Includes 10-15% domestic travel. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or other related field of study
- Minimum 2 years Logistics & Distribution experience designing, implementing, or launching new facilities and solutions
- Ability to travel domestically 10-15% of the time
- Strong interpersonal communication skills demonstrated a history of developing relationships and building trust, and an ability to work independently & in a team environment
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop appropriate solution
Desired Qualifications
- 3PL or like experience preferred
- E-commerce and Omni channel fulfilment experience
- Six Sigma and Lean certification a plus
- Experience in engineering Distribution Centers
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, data analysis, process mapping tools, Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge of WMS functionality
- Experience in warehouse automation applications a plus
