Job Summary
Lead end-to-end delivery of a core media technology platform within a broadcasting environment, translating business requirements into designs and overseeing system configuration and integration. Act as the primary accountability owner for the external systems integration partner, defining deliverables, monitoring performance, and managing risks to ensure high-quality outcomes. Define the test strategy, coordinate execution, manage defects, and lead deployment planning while designing and delivering training programmes to ensure operational readiness. Assess business readiness against defined criteria and gate the launch via go/no-go decisions, ensuring minimal broadcast disruption and positive user adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Proven technology delivery experience in broadcasting or media environments
- Strong understanding of live & non-live media workflows
- Experience designing and implementing a full range of media platforms including one or more from the following
- Human and technical resource booking, billing and resource management solutions gained using solutions such as Dataminer, Media Pulse and SchedulAll
- Event Centric Planning workflows combining solution delivery with an editorial background gained through implementing NRCS solutions such as Saga, Story Desk and iNEWS
- Integrating content production workflows and solutions into broader business/enterprise platforms including SalesForce CRM, SAP Financials & Workday
- Broadcast control and monitoring platforms including BNCS and DataMiner
- End-to-end Content Production workflow orchestration gained through implementation of solutions such as Qibb, SDVI Rally, Node Red
- Experience collaborating with & managing System Integration partners to deliver on-time and to quality
- Strong track record in managing solution testing, defect resolution and outcome delivery
- Experience in implementing AI tools to automate workflows and data capture in content production operation or similar
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in live broadcast environments, demonstrating ability to flex approach when there are unpredictable changes in business operations
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop& deliver required training programmes, through a variety of mechanisms, to operational and technical support staff
- Robust & systematic approach to managing progress and delivery
- Collaborates effectively across the board, combining driving progress with supporting and developing the team in equal measure
- Transparent, timely reporting on progress and proactively raises risks & concerns and asks for help well in advance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in sports broadcasting
- Knowledge of cloud media workflows
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Experience in transformation programmes
