Job Summary
Partner with account executives and leadership to develop account strategies and uncover customer needs for complex enterprise IT environments. Craft solutions mapping Benchling capabilities to client science and technology landscapes, then present and demonstrate these offerings persuasively while managing objections. Engage with product management to translate prospect trends into roadmap insights and create reusable solutions, content, and training for the team. Mentor peers to build collective success and establish credibility with senior scientific and IT leaders during the sales cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemistry or similar Life Science field
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience
- Ideally customer facing
- Hands-on experience in antibody discovery and engineering
- Experience as a bench scientist
- Experience in a technical role supporting biologics teams
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively model scientific data
- Ability to craft solutions based on product knowledge and industry best practices
- Prior experience in demonstrating and supporting research instruments, reagents or software
- Understand research technology generally adopted by biopharma companies
- Have an agile and adaptable mentality
- Ability to quickly implement new customer engagement processes
- Ability to establish as a trusted advisor for scientists
- Ability to successfully pitch to scientific buyers
- Must be fluent in English
- Willingness to travel to customer sites 25-30%
- Employees are expected to be on-site 3 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with scientific/informatics software such as LIMS, ELN, or others
- Familiarity with antibody engineering software
- Experience in demonstrating scientific software in a pre-sales setting
- Prior experience in demonstrating and supporting research instruments, reagents or software
- Fluency in German or French
- Experience in a technical role supporting biologics teams
