Job Summary

Partner with business and technology stakeholders to design, guide, and support the implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Translate business requirements into logical, physical, integration, security, data, and infrastructure designs while evaluating alternatives based on value, feasibility, cost, and risk. Own the architecture review process, present designs to secure approval, and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Lead cross-functional collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, network, and application teams to drive end-to-end solution design and integration. Document architecture decisions, share best practices, and maintain knowledge of relevant technologies and platforms. First shift, Monday through Friday; core business hours. Requires Canadian NATO Secret clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Eight or more years of experience in solution architecture, application architecture, infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Five or more years of experience designing and implementing complex business and technology solutions across multiple technology domains
  • Experience leading architecture activities throughout the solution delivery lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational transition
  • Hands-on experience in at least three technical disciplines such as application development, cloud platforms, systems integration, infrastructure services, data management, cybersecurity, networking, or enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with architecture governance processes and participation in architecture review and design authority activities
  • Strong knowledge of solution architecture principles, design methodologies, and systems integration practices
  • Experience designing solutions utilizing cloud services, SaaS platforms, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and hybrid environments
  • Understanding of application, data, integration, security, and infrastructure architecture disciplines and their interactions within end-to-end solutions
  • Ability to evaluate technology alternatives and develop solution recommendations based on functionality, cost, risk, supportability, and alignment with business requirements
  • Knowledge of non-functional requirements including security, resiliency, scalability, performance, maintainability, and disaster recovery
  • TOGAF Foundation or Certified
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certifications
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • SAFe Architect, SAFe Agilist, or other Agile-related certifications
  • Canada Security Clearance eligibility
  • Eligibility or ability to obtain authorization for access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Eligibility to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
  • Ability to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance
