Job Summary
Lead architectural and design efforts across multiple BMW products/domains, leveraging BMW processes and agile/DevOps models. Drive technical change and advocate new technologies with senior business and IT networks. Function as a full-stack team member supporting analysis, development, and operations while mentoring developers and ensuring secure coding and adherence to guidelines. Promote operational excellence through consolidated designs, documented procedures, and handling tier-3 DevOps escalations and application upgrades. Ensure high availability and business agility via cloud-native toolchains and cross-product collaboration. Support Agile project activities and define technology vision, integrating new technologies and evaluating external solutions. Onsite at a BMW facility with hybrid remote capability in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Expected salary range: $89,700 – $140,500; background check may be required. Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in IT application development, maintenance and support
- 7+ years of demonstrated success in Information Technology, with at least 5+ years in a senior-level software engineering role
- 3+ years architecting complex systems for senior engineers
- 1+ years working in Agile projects
- Experience with cloud-native toolchains and architectures (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with REST APIs, service-oriented architectures, and modern software engineering principles
- Proficiency in Java, .Net/C#, Web, AngularJS, T-SQL, Python, HTML, Oracle
