Job Summary
Lead the architecture and technical design of secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions across multiple government programmes. Work alongside operational client teams to translate complex business challenges into practical, user-centred technical solutions while supporting Agile delivery teams with architectural leadership and engineering best practices. Own the resolution of high-risk technical challenges, balance delivery with security and operational resilience, and mentor engineering teams to foster continuous learning. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape solution options and influence architectural decisions, ensuring consistency of standards while adapting to individual client needs. Champion modern practices including DevSecOps, automation, and infrastructure as code to drive value across customer engagements.
Required Qualifications

- significant commercial experience
- Solution Architecture and Technical Design
- Strong software engineering background
- previous hands-on development experience
- Open Source technologies and frameworks
- Cloud platforms, ideally AWS
- Cloud-native architectures and distributed systems
- Security architecture and secure-by-design principles
- Identity and Access Management (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, IAM)
- Containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- DevOps and DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as Golang, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and cross-functional engineering teams
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree, English major preferred
