Job Summary
Senior Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable, and compliant API-driven solutions for Visa's client Cards programme. Drive architectural design for strategic digital initiatives, develop API strategies and event-driven integrations to support extensibility and interoperability, and present architectural designs within governance forums. Architect end-to-end solutions for payments innovation, fraud-prevention and loyalty with a focus on security and compliance. Translate business requirements into solution options, produce high-quality architecture artefacts, and collaborate closely with engineering leads to ensure architectures are realised and deliverable. The role emphasizes engagement across technology and business teams to maximise reuse and accelerate delivery of high-impact solutions, enabling Visa’s cardholder experiences and adhering to enterprise architecture principles.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in financial services architecture (cards domain)
- Experience designing enterprise solutions using APIs (Java Microservice)
- Gateways (Kong) and event streaming (Kafka)
- API security knowledge (Network security, OAuth, TLS)
- Identity and CIAM, digital security understanding
- Hands-on with multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS)
- Understanding of digital channels and integrations (Mobile, web, third-party)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
