Job Summary
Solution Architect – Product Sourcing responsible for the solution architecture supporting multiple products with a focus on Sourcing, Component and Data and AI capabilities. Combines hands-on architectural work with advisory responsibilities, designing solutions and guiding teams toward target architecture while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and data governance. Design and advise on solution architecture aligned with area strategy, business goals, and regulatory requirements; translate business/technical needs into architectural designs; design integrations and advise on architectural choices between solutions; analyze existing solutions for gaps, risks, and technical debt; drive improvements toward the target state; create and maintain solution roadmaps and transition architectures; provide architectural guidance and advisory support to delivery teams; support data model creation/maintenance to enable strategic initiatives; contribute to architecture standards and best practices; support technology evaluation/selection; collaborate with Area Business Manager, Area Tech Manager, Engineering Managers and other colleagues; requires 10+ years of experience, cloud-native and microservices experience, Kafka/Solace/Azure API Management, strong communication, security/privacy/compliance-by-design knowledge, and advantageous AI-solutions architecture and retail/ecommerce exposure.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale systems
- Experience documenting and communicating architecture across business, process, information, application, and technology perspectives
- Ability to translate complex business flows into clear solution designs and architecture artefacts
- Proven experience in solution architecture within cloud-native and microservices environments
- Advanced understanding of integration technologies such as Kafka, Solace, and Azure API Management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance-by-design principles
- Experience on AI solutions architecture and deployment is an advantage
- Experience working across federated, multi-team environments in a scaled agile setup
- Demonstrated ability to drive cost-conscious design decisions across infrastructure, data, and integration layers
- Experience from retail, ecommerce, or global organizations is an advantage
- Strong understanding of capability modelling and domain-driven design (DDD) is an advantage
