Job Summary
Coordinate and implement customer installation activities for Computer Aided Dispatch, Mobile Applications, and Records Management Systems in time-sensitive public safety environments. Elicit customer requirements, document project deliverables, and manage interfaces within the larger enterprise network while collaborating with the project manager to ensure successful completion. Perform general software and IP network debugging, identify product defects, and monitor resolution from engineering to customer acceptance. Install, integrate, and deploy defined solutions with minimal supervision, tracking billable hours and presenting technical details to all organizational levels. Requires fundamental troubleshooting skills, 4+ years of engineering experience, and willingness to travel up to 25% for this remote position.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Technology
- Working experience in one of the following areas: Systems Integration, Software Engineering, System Engineering, Product Development, System Test, or System Support
- 4+ years of experience working as an Engineer in an Engineering or Technology environment
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
- Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
- Must be willing to travel as required for this position
- Must have general networking knowledge for this position

- Must demonstrate fundamental troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision

- Must be able to own the project scope and the interfaces to be deployed
- Must be able to coordinate and implement customer installation activities in a time-sensitive manner
- Must be able to elicit customer requirements
- Must be able to understand Public Safety customer environments for product security and reliability
- Must be able to deliver solutions within the context of a defined product, standard interfaces, and limited flexibility
- Must be able to install, integrate, deploy, and deliver defined solutions
- Must be able to work in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's 'Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy'
- Must be able to successfully pass a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

- 4+ years of experience in the following areas: Systems Integration, Software Engineering, Product Development, System Test, System Support, or Information Technology
- Windows Server 2019 or newer
- SQL Server 2019 or newer
- SQL scripting (T-SQL)
- Proficiency with XML, XPATH, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT)
- Must be willing to learn on the job and be a team player
- Knowledge of packet capture tools
